September Indoor Camp

Fri 19 – Mon 22 Sep 2025
Peer, BEL

Indoor camps provide a consistent environment to make technical & tactical changes without worrying about the weather or snow conditions. It’s little wonder why national teams from around the globe flock to Peer. The slope is long enough for a full slalom with some decent pitch (without being too aggressive!) and some flat. There are 4 training lanes with increasingly hard snow, from soft, forgiving conditions on lane 4, to pure ice on lane 1. The short turnaround time means lots of laps, so training is split into intensive 2-hour blocks.

Indoor camps are not just about the skiing, though. Our base has loads of sports facilities and outside space to do afternoon fitness, and a huge ski room for tuning & workshops.

More About This Camp

Team Base

SSC staff and inliers will be staying at the Hotel de Watermolen near Peer. The snow dome is a 15 minute drive from there. The hotel is where the British team stay when they train in Peer over the summer, along with hundreds of other teams from across the world, so it’s perfect for an indoor camp.

Whilst we don’t mind outliers staying nearby the team hotel, we would ask that outliers do not book in to the team hotel directly. If you would like your child(ren) to be a part of the camp at the team hotel, you can book them in as an inlier, and you are more than welcome stay together nearby at other accommodation.

Travel

Accompanied flights are available for inliers. You are responsible for booking these and should do so after receiving confirmation of your camp place. This confirmation will include instructions and all the details (inc. booking refs) you need.

The EU is planning to introduce its electronic Entry/Exit System (EES) for Schengen-zone countries in October 2025. This will have an impact on all those travelling to and from camps on a UK passport.

Flights are to Dusseldorf Weeze airport, around a 1.5 hour drive from the hotel. Accompanying adult TBC

Return flight details from Google Flights

Airport transfers to/from the team base are included for all inliers.

Luggage

The team van will be travelling to Peer for this camp. We can take skis + poles (not in bags), and luggage, for £20 per pair/item of luggage each way. This is available for all camp attendees, subject to space being available in the van. Please, no loose items.

Kit can be dropped off for travel out in Edinburgh (and other locations TBC). The van will leave Edinburgh at the start of the week (around 15/16 Sept), so equipment must be with the van by then. Space is offered first-come, first-serve and must be pre-booked.

The van will likely then stay in Europe ahead of the October camp, meaning kit would not be returning to the UK until the end of October. Any kit which needs to stay on to go to Hintertux is free of charge.

Equipment

Please ensure you are familiar with our Camp Packing ListNote that this is a slalom-only camp, so none of the GS/SG equipment listed is necessary.
