SSC Racing Alpine Camps
SSC’s overseas training & racing opportunities in Europe are open to all club members with racing experience, and suitable for U10-U16 age groups. Club membership is open to all and just £27.50 annually – see here. These camps are complemented by our Scottish training based at Cairngorm during the winter. Find out more here.

Here is an overview of camps we plan to run in 2025/26. These camps are all subject to minimum numbers.
New Year Camp | Kaprun, AUT

ONE INLIER PLACE REMAINING
Sun 28 Dec 2025 – Wed 7 OR Sun 11 Jan 2026
This is an ideal time for a young athlete’s first races overseas with ample training time in the days before the races to get warmed up, then racing at the Ambition Children’s Championships, and optionally Team Evolution’s Nations Cup (both including speed races).
February Half-Term Camp | TBC, AUT

Training + race week: Sat 14 – Sat 21 Feb 2026
In February 2026, due to the alternative race calendar, we plan to attend the Nations Cup races put on by Snowsport England & Team Evolution. These are British seeded races, but also international races, so it’s a great chance to do something new and a bit different!
Easter Camp | Santa Caterina, ITA

Finish the season off with pre-race training and the British Alpine Children’s Championships, returning to the fantastic new race venue of Santa Caterina.
Summer Indoor Camp | Peer, BEL & Manchester, GBR

Sat 27 Jun – Fri 3 / Sun 5 Jul 2026
Kick-start the summer holidays with 6 days of training in the Belgian snowdome used by all the national teams, and then (optionally) head straight to the GBR indoor races in Manchester.

SSC Alpine Camps will return in 2026/27 for another bumper year! These camps are all subject to minimum numbers.

Come and meet the SSC coaches ahead of the winter season! We’ll have a multitude of activities from mountain biking to watersports, all with a huge amount of transferable skills and big fitness benefits. For older athletes we’ll have goal setting sessions and ski tuning workshops, too.
These weekends run from our winter base of Loch Insh Outdoor Centre.
October Glacier Camp | Hintertux, AUT

Autumn on the glaciers is the perfect time to kick-start the season with dedicated training time and no races. Hintertux offers the perfect pre-season environment for learning how to go faster, adjusting tactics and building strong technique. Plus, the valley is full of great spaces for afternoon fitness, and our team base supports ski tuning & video analysis.

NY 26/27 dates TBC
The destination of our New Year camp in 2027 is TBC, but will include some dedicated training days ahead of BASS & minis races, subject to confirmation of the race calendar.
New Year is an ideal time to get on snow without taking (too much) time off school.

We’ll be back in the 2026 Olympic venue of Bormio for the parents’ favourite weeks! There will be a training-only week, followed by a week of training and races for all age groups.
